SIGMASHIELD™

Protecting structural integrity

Tugs, work-boats, barges, ice-going and ice-breaking vessels as with other vessels in the marine environment, are subject to age-related deterioration. In the main, this is caused by corrosion wastage, fatigue cracking and localized abrasion damage. The maintenance, repair or renewal of heavily damaged structures is complicated and costly.

The SIGMASHIELD product range includes coatings that are designed for use on all areas of the vessel – from the underwater hull to the topsides and decks.

The products in the range offer heavy-duty protection for a variety of vessels:

  • SIGMASHIELD 220
  • SIGMASHIELD 420
    High-solids, reinforced epoxy for all-round abrasion-resistance service
  • SIGMASHIELD 460
    High-solids, glass-reinforced epoxy coating for ice-going vessels
  • SIGMASHIELD 610
    Two-component, amide cured epoxy coating
  • SIGMASHIELD 620
Two-component, high-solids amine cured epoxy coating
  • SIGMASHIELD 905
